There's nothing better for me than a good pool sim on the phone and this one impresses on many levels. The developers claim to have used some of the latest algorithms to create realistic gameplay including some crunching ball collisions and satisfying cue-on-ball action. It certainly doesn't let you down on both counts.
The game is played from the top-down perspective and you've got two options as to which mode to play in. Before engaging in tournament mode however, it's recommended you try practice mode to test the different techniques available. In this way, you can get used to the cueing action especially the strength of the shots which is hard to master at first.
As you play, the game swivels 180 degrees depending on where the cue ball finishes up. To aim shots, a direction arrow extends from the ball to the pockets. One really cool feature is the option to watch action replays of your best shots, which can even be watched in slow motion.
This is a pretty addictive pool game made all the better by some realistic sound effects and movements. However, it's shame there's nothing more than tournament mode to keep your interest longer. It would also have been much better if you could play against another human opponent via Bluetooth or WAP.
